Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what this is
Plugr is an audio plugin organizer for macOS, operated by Josh Isaacs as a sole proprietorship based in Boulder, Colorado, USA ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Plugr application (the "App"), the plugr.co website (the "Site"), and any related services we provide.
By downloading, installing, or using Plugr, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Plugr.
2. Your account and license
When you purchase a Plugr license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Plugr on a number of Macs determined by the tier you purchased (typically 2 for subscription tiers, 3 for Lifetime). You may not share, resell, or transfer your license to anyone else.
You're responsible for keeping your license key safe and for the security of any account or email address used to manage your subscription.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of Plugr, except where law expressly allows it
- Bypass or attempt to bypass the licensing or trial mechanisms
- Use Plugr to violate the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from plugr.co
- Resell, sublicense, or rent your Plugr license
We reserve the right to revoke any license used in violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
4. Payment, renewals, and refunds
Payments are processed by our merchant of record (currently Lemon Squeezy — see your purchase receipt). All prices are listed in US Dollars and may exclude applicable taxes, which the payment processor adds at checkout based on your location.
Subscription plans (Monthly and Annual) renew automatically until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal linked in your purchase email. After cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Lifetime licenses are one-time payments and do not renew.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy — 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked.
5. Changes to Plugr and these terms
We may add, remove, or modify features in Plugr at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice for major changes, especially ones that affect what's included in your tier.
For Lifetime license holders: all features available at the time of your purchase, plus all updates to those features, remain available to you forever. Brand-new features added later may be subscription-only — we'll be clear about this when applicable.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced by email to active customers. Continued use of Plugr after changes means you accept the new Terms.
6. Intellectual property
Plugr, the plugr.co website, the Plugr name, the Plugr logo, and all related branding are owned by Josh Isaacs. You retain ownership of any data you create with Plugr (notes, tags, custom categories, etc.). Plugr does not claim any rights to your plugins or your music.
Plugin developer names, logos, and product names referenced inside the App or on plugr.co are the property of their respective owners and are used purely for identification.
7. Disclaimer of warranties and liability
Plugr is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do our best to make sure it works well, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every need.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses — arising from or in connection with your use of Plugr.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to Plugr will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using Plugr at any time. To remove Plugr, quit the app, drag it to the Trash, and optionally delete
~/Library/Application Support/Plugr/.
We may terminate or suspend your license without refund if you violate these Terms, attempt to defraud the payment processor, or use Plugr for illegal purposes.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Plugr will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Boulder County, Colorado.
Where local consumer protection law gives you stronger rights than these Terms, those rights apply.
